Sensei Rick Hall.
Owner/Manager
Current
Rank:

7th Dan Matsumura Seito
Shorin-Ryu
4th Dan Kobudo (weapons)
3rd Dan Tae Kwan Do
Place of Birth: Little Rock, Arkansas
Master
Hall had his
introduction to the martial arts
at age 10. He opened his first
karate school (Clearwater
Karate) in 1980 at the age of 17
with 30 students in 720 square
feet. In 1983 he relocated to a
new location on 49th Street in
Pinellas Park, combining his
school, with another school
owned by good friend, Mr. Joe
Fyock. The school was 1,000 sq
ft. and had 55 students and
formed what became the “Bushido
Karate Academy”. In 1984 the
school moved once again to Park
Blvd. and 52nd street, with a
much larger and more visible
location with 2,800 sq feet. Mr.
Fyock left shortly there after
to open a dojo in Orlando. The
school grew to over 350 students
in the late 90’s when Sensei
Hall made is last move to the
building next door. This move
increased our size again and
also gave Sensei his first
opportunity to own his own
building. With the new location
the old wooden deck gave way to
an upgraded padded mat, larger
changing rooms, larger main
training deck and a larger lobby
area. Since his humble
beginnings in the martial arts,
Sensei Hall has shared his
knowledge of the martial arts
and promoted hundreds of black
belts and influenced countless
lives.
